1. Single Author Attribution

Each article, commentary, or research feature must be attributed to a single author. Multiple authorship is not permitted.

2. Authorship Definition

The listed author must be:

• The original creator of the content.
• Solely responsible for accuracy and interpretation of data.
• Available to collaborate with editors on revisions and fact-checking.

3. Ghostwriting & Research Assistance

If research assistance or ghostwriting is involved, the named author must still assume full responsibility for the published work.

4. Editorial Exceptions

Joint surveys, research collaborations, or symposia may be published under the ChiefEconomists editorial team or a designated editor.

5. Enforcement

Submissions that breach this policy will not be reviewed. Repeated breaches may lead to exclusion from contributing.
